Thursday Feb 22nd
Ollantaytambo
- After the yatra closing circle participants will travel to Ollantaytambo bringing a small overnight bag. Here we’ll have lunch and see this pre-incan town that is still completely in tact and thriving to this day.
- We’ll board trains to Aguas Calientes for a beautiful 1.5 hour ride to the town at the base of Machu Picchu.
- There we’ll have dinner and get a good nights rest for the next day’s pilgrimage to Machu Picchu – considered the magnetic spiritual center of the planet.
Friday Feb 23rd
Machu Picchu
- 5am wakeup and preparation to board buses to Machu Picchu to receive the first rays of the morning light at this sacred place.
- Explore Machu Picchu and learn some of the history and marvels of the Incan culture that lived there.
- Travel back down to Aguas Calientes for some brunch and shopping.
- Take a train back to Ollantaytambo and make our way back to our retreat home base at Arbol de la Vida.
- Dinner and then deep rest after a full day.
Saturday Feb 23rd
Travel
- Casual wake up and breakfast
- Late morning goodbyes and shuttle to Cusco / the airport.
- Fly out of Cusco anytime after 1pm (recommended airlines LATAM or SKY)
